*Usually I take my own pictures when I'm at schools, but this one comes from a great online resource called Britannica Image Quest. MCPS has paid for students and staff to have access to this website as part of the online resource subscriptions for this year. Students can use it for projects and teachers can use it to find high quality images that will supplement their instruction. The website describes the images as being "rights-cleared for non-commercial, educational use—ideal for use in lessons plans, student projects, school Web sites, and beyond."
